Pictograms and Poetry...

In history Jer is learning about the ancient Chinese. Today he learned about how they used pictograms as a form of written expression. So of course, Jer wanted to try his hand at it...

...and I must say, he did a beautiful job.

Not only that, he wrote a poem to go with it...

The sun is shining,
The river is flowing.
The children are playing,
The wind is blowing.
The grass is dancing,

The trees are green.
The animals are eating,
And running.
The wind is blooming,
And the flowers blooming.

It still amazes how much simple beauty my little man can shower my day with.
